RAYBESTOS BRAKES NORTHWEST SERIES

WEST RICHLAND, Wash. (June 8, 2002) – Officials for the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing and Williams Promotions, Inc. have canceled the June 8 event for the Raybestos Brakes Northwest Series, NASCAR Touring to have been held at Tri-Cities Raceway in West Richland Wash.

Persistent rain showers washed out qualifying and forced racing action to a halt. The race will not be re-scheduled and the next event for the series will be the Leonard Evans Superstore 125 at Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval, to take place July 6 at 9 p.m.
