FEATHERLITE SOUTHWEST SERIES

Phoenix, Ariz. (October 26, 2002) Weather dominated the on-track activities as 28 Featherlite Southwest Series, NASCAR Touring teams had to wait until 4:00 pm to make their first laps of a two-day practice at Phoenix Int'l Raceway.

Rain showers forced teams to sit and wait, but when the rain subsided, it was Sacramento, California's Burney Lamar that topped the time chart with several laps at 28.20 seconds on the green racetrack. Dan Holtz holds the track record set in February of this year with a time of
27.091/132.885mph. Practice will resume at 9:00am Sunday as teams prepare for the November 7 Cruise America "125" season finale.
