STAGE 8 LOCKING FASTENERS TO SPONSOR
ROOKIE PROGRAM IN NASCAR WINSTON WEST SERIES

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 2, 2002) – Stage 8 Locking Fasteners has been named as the sponsor of the Rookie-of-the-Year Award in the NASCAR Winston West Series, the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing has announced.

The program recognizes the top finishing eligible rookie driver in each event with an award of $508, while an overall prize of $2,008 will be presented with the Stage 8 Locking Fastener Rookie of the Year Award at the season’s conclusion.

“We are pleased to have Stage 8 Locking Fasteners become involved with the NASCAR Winston West Series,” said Steve O’Donnell, director of series marketing for NASCAR. “We appreciate their sponsorship of such a great program. The chase for the rookie title in this series always generates a lot of interest and the members of this year’s freshman field should provide plenty of excitement as they challenge for the title.”

Stage 8 Locking Fasteners is a California-based company that manufacturers a full line of application specific locking fasteners for the automotive market – as well as applications throughout the forging, mining and railroad industries.
